At first, there was an image in my head...

At that time, it was Charly the Beautiful and his mother Pussycat. I love all cats but I did have to limit their numbers on the stairs. Charly and his buddies, it's like home. It turned into a setting for house numbers.

We picked a pattern that fitted perfectly our countryside and the welcoming feeling we wanted to convey to our guests at first sight. The setting that shows a house and a Welcome sign seemed the obvious one. We asked for our telephone number to be added on it so that people just passing by could call and book. Every Friday we flee right to our country home in Normandy, in the neighbourhood of Giverny. When I first visited this website, I fell in love with the whellbarrow and fresh vegetables setting. I've just started my own garden and I'm rather proud of my production.So ur house plate is my reward for growing such good vegetables.

THE MAKING OF A PATTERN: AT THE FARM

At first, there's a chilhood memory...

The cockrow at the farm where I spent my childhood summers. It was heavenly, it took me years to realize it. Ever since that time, the crowing of a rooster, the cackling of hens bring back the colour of that days. The smell of the hay, the taste of the fruit we pinched on the trees, the coolness of the grass against my bare legs. While painting this setting, I plunged into it. I once knew of a rooster in love with his own crowing. He'd proudly throw his cock-a-doodle-dos in the air and follow them with a softened eye. He had his fan-club, the yound chicks still free of brood. They'd forget about picking while listening to him. ''Ref POULsize 5,9'x5,9' (15x15 cm)
